Jody Cross
Worship Pastor

Jody and his wife, Alex, have been married for 18 years and have four children.  Jody worked as a Governor General’s footguard as a teenager before moving on to further education at Carleton University, the University of Ottawa and Tyndale and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Jody has been a follower of Christ since he was 15 years old and pursues his worship ministry by not only leading worship but by mentoring worship leaders.  Jody has produced three worship albums - his most recent is 'Rekindle'.

Jody points us to John 9:3 (“But that the works of God might be displayed in him”) with this comment, “Our lives are like a canvas for the brush of God to display his work and glory.  Even the hard and difficult times provide the canvas for God to work.”

Todd Dugard
Senior Pastor

Todd has been the teaching pastor at Harvest in Barrie since the church’s beginning in 2001.  A graduate of London Baptist Bible College and Heritage Seminary, Todd has been a follower of Christ since 1979.

Todd and his wife, Cheryl, have been married for 18 years and have three children.

Born in Quebec, Todd continues to enthusiastically support the Habs.  He enjoys playing Settlers of Catan with his boys and has recently taken up gardening…although he’s not sure if he ‘enjoys’ it yet.

Todd reminds us of James 1:21, “Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls."   Todd’s comment:  “Just trying to figure out what it means to receive the implanted word with meekness and to root out all that filthiness that inhabits the deep corners of my heart.”

Roger Freeman
Congregational Care Pastor

Roger was born in  Alberta during the time that his parents were studying at Prairie Bible Institute.  He became a follower of Christ when he was ten years old and made a commitment to be an “all-in” follower at the age of 18 when he was baptized.

Roger and his wife, Margaret, met at London Baptist Bible College and have been married for 26 years.  They have four children.

Roger is excited about being with people and seeing God make real changes in their lives.

Jeremiah 30:21-22 says, “Who would dare of himself to approach me? Declares the Lord.”  Another reading is, “Who is the one who devotes himself to draw near to me?”  Roger’s thoughts:  “It is only through Christ we dare approach the Holy One but in him we run into the presence of God.  Yet to draw near we must devote ourselves, saying no to some things and yes to others—those things that either draw us near or keep us away from knowing the Lord fully.  I have been asking myself, ‘What am I devoted to?  What direction are my choices taking me?  What am I willing to do or to give up in order to be near to God?’”

Les Galicinski
Spiritual Formation Pastor

Les was born in Germany and emigrated to Canada at a young age, settling in Kinston, ON where he later studied Engineering at Queen’s University.   Les and his wife, Judi, have been married for 31 years and they have two children.  After a 26 year career in Engineering,  Les responded to God’s call to ministry enrolling at Tyndale Seminary and earning a Master of Divinity degree in 2003. Les enjoys sailing, skiing and studying Theology.

Les has been a follower of Christ for 26 years and has been part of Harvest since its inception..  His spiritual gifts are teaching and helping others to discover the richness of who God is and to know Him more.

Proverbs 23:23 “Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding.”  Les explains, “To buy something is to exchange the resources that you have for that which you don’t have but want.  This verse tells us that we should each be filled with a desire to go for the Truth, to understand it and apply it.  My heart’s desire is that followers of Christ would go beyond the shallow platitudes of our times and plunge deep into all the riches of the knowledge of Jesus Christ.. who is the Truth.”

Jon Miller
Adult and Family Ministries Pastor

Jon joined the staff team at Harvest in Barrie in November 2002.   He was born in Alberta, but grew up in Mississauga where he became a follower of Jesus Christ when he was seven years old.

Jon and his wife, Adrienne were married in 2004, and have twin boys, Isaac and Ari, born in October 2007.  He is an avid sports fan, but because of his tendency to get injured, Jon’s sports activities now consist of cheering on the Leafs, and playing golf and tennis.

Jon is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago.

Jon faithfully served on our staff team overseeing our children and youth ministries.  He has distinguished himself as a man of integrity and godly servant of the Lord. Jon was ordained in June 2007 and soon after became Pastor of Adult and Family Ministries. He is currently pursuing further education through Liberty Theological Seminary.

One of Jon’s favourite verses is Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.  He is like a tree planted by water that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for it’s leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit”.

Jon says, “These verses have challenged me that the key to my success in life and in ministry is found in the place of humility and complete dependence on God.  When I trust in myself or in anyone or anything other than God, I can expect dryness and fruitlessness in my life.  But as I remain humble and trust in the Lord, remaining deeply connected to Christ, I will be free from anxiety and fear, and will instead have the courage to overcome any challenges that will come, and will see fruitfulness in my life and ministry.”
